I am a speech and language pathologist and I evaluate and treat speech and language and feeding disorders as well as establish their causes, educate on prevention, and plan carryover for treatment in individual's natural environment. I hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and a Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) license. I am also trained in PROMPTs for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets (PROMPT) therapy. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Adelphi University, in New York and received my Masters of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from St. John’s University. I am currently spending a large part of my treatment time addressing feeding, oral-motor, speech and language delays and disorders with babies, children and young adults. Previously, I was treating in a private facility as a Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in the education and teaching of life and social skills to children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) ages 5-21 with a variety of speech and language difficulties. My clinical background includes comprehensive experience working in the home with families in addition to providing individual treatment. I also have been a central part of speech therapy treatment in private and public schools, as well as sub-acute care and outpatient clinics. I have worked extensively with school aged children in both academic and social settings as well as with the elderly population in communication, feeding and swallowing disorders. My history of coordinating community events programs for children with ASD and emotional disturbance (ED) has given me great insight to affording children the opportunity to learn and participate in social contexts and motivating them to develop a sense of social responsibility, which goes hand-in-hand with communication skills. Communication skills are best mastered when the individual can carry over what is learned in a lesson and apply to real life situations. I believe that speech therapy techniques are most effective when they empower the individual to take skills acquired in the session and use it in their daily interactions. My therapeutic approach is to design meaningful goals and sessions that are both fun and functional for the individual and their lifestyle. I also advocate educating parents/caregivers to recognize naturally occurring opportunities to reinforce what has been learned in therapy. This allows the individual to reach their potential as a confident and effective communicator.

We define users as “speech-language pathologists,” or “speech therapists,” and “parents.” The intention of Speech Buddies Connect is to allow parents looking for speech therapy services for their children to contact and communicate with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists who provide speech services. Speech Buddies Games allows students to practice online exercises that can help improve their speech and articulation. Speech Buddies Games can be used by Students, Parents, and Speech-Language Pathologists.

    By using this service you agree that:

    • You are licensed in your state or country to provide speech services as a Speech Language Pathologist, Speech Language Pathologist Assistant, Speech and Language Therapist, or other health professional.
    • You have necessary permission from the student and parent, if necessary, to provide speech services.
    • You have permission to perform lessons and exercises with a given student.
    • You will not solicit members of Speech Buddies Connect for purposes other than providing private speech and language therapy services.
    • You will maintain respectful and professional communication during communication with any and all members of the Speech Buddies community.
