Jennifer earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Health Studies from Siena College. She then went on to earn a Master of Arts degree from Long Island University: CW Post Campus in Communication Sciences and Disorders. While earning her graduate degree, Jennifer presented at the New York State Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NSSLHA) Annual Conference on Accent Modification therapy, which continues to be a great interest of hers. She is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and licensed in the state of New York. Jennifer also holds a certificate of Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) and has worked within the education system for over five years.
Jennifer has extensive experience working with children ages birth through school-age. She is formally trained in PROMPT, a Sensory-Motor Approach to Feeding, DIR Floortime, and CPR. Jennifer specializes in articulation and feeding therapy. In addition, she has worked with a wide range of pediatric disabilities and disorders, including hearing loss, cleft palate, vocal fold paralysis, prematurity, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. She also completed a voice therapy program to treat vocal nodules, which she continues to learn more about everyday.
