Kyra Quinones M.S. CCC-SLP is the founder of Sound It Out Speech Therapy. Kyra holds an American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) certification of clinical competence (CCC-SLP), a speech-language pathology California state license (SLPAB), and a teaching credential. She received a B.A. in psychology from Loyola Marymount University and an M.S. in Communicative Disorders and Sciences from California State University, Northridge. Kyra’s scope of practice includes assessing and providing therapy to toddlers, children, and young adults with a variety of speech and language disorders including: Autism Spectrum Disorders, Articulation Disorders, Central Auditory Processing Disorders (CAPD), Phonological Disorders, Apraxia, developmental delays, receptive and expressive language disorders, social skills, cleft palate, fluency disorders, AAC therapy, and voice disorders. Through Kyra’s practice she maintains a family centered approach to therapy. Kyra works to collaborate with all team members including caregivers, physicians, occupational therapists, psychologists, teachers, and any other professionals involved in your child's life.
