AICCD has provided services in the areas of Speech-Language Pathology and Traumatic Brain Injuries for over 30 years under its clinical director, Mary Jane Trunzo, M.A., CCC-SP. This private practice is recognized for its highly trained professionals and continual dedication to its clients. Our services are provided across a wide range of environments which include clinical offices, homes, schools, and other community environments. At AICCD, we work towards improvements in cognition, communication, independent living skills, and psycho-social behaviors.
Mary Jane Trunzo, M.A., CCC-SP, is the Clinical Director of AICCD. She has worked extensively with children and adults with acquired and traumatic brain injuries for over 35 years and has specialized in community based rehabilitation. She has co-authored a clinical textbook on communication and coping skills and has accomplished research in the area of neurogenic based communication disorders. She has also lectured and provided training workshops throughout Arizona and the United Sates on traumatic brain injury, particularly in the area of post concussion disorders and pediatric brain injury. Ms. Trunzo has received numerous awards for her outstanding work in the area of acquired brain injury and was recently admitted to Valley Leadership’s ranks for her leadership role in the community. Since 1998, Ms. Trunzo has served as Co-Chair of the Disability Awareness Committee of the Phoenix Sister Cities Commission.
