I have been a certified speech-language pathologist for the past 13 years. I am a bilingual clinician that speaks Spanish/English and have worked with clients across all age groups. In the beginning of my career I worked in adult rehabilition for Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. There I focused on communication and swallowing disorders caused by stroke, neurological diseases, brain injury, tracheostomy/ventilator, head/neck cancer, and other medically fragile conditions. During that time I also did some outpatient adult/pediatric work in the areas of language and motor speech disorders/articulation. Over the past 6 years I have been living in Denver, CO and switched gears to work with the birth to three and school age populations through child find and various school districts. My area of expertise is with evaluation and treatment of the English language learning population who speak Spanish. However, I work with all children with various delays and difficulties in the areas of receptive/expressive language, articulation, social communication, functional communication and fluency. These include clients with Autism, Down Syndrome, AAC users and other various genetic disorders. I have been trained in both the PROMPT technique and the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS). I am available for therapy services for both children and adults.
