About

Read parent testimonials >

I have been a speech language pathologist (SLP) since 1991. That's after a decade long career as an American Sign Language interpreter. I love my profession as an SLP because it gives me the opportunity to help people of all ages communicate in their authentic voice. I have experience working in Early Intervention, with preschool, elementary school age and adults. The bulk of my experience is in the preschool range, 3 to 5, but as I stated, my experience is broader than that.

If I could best describe my style, it is communicative, fun, and eclectic. My work ranges from play therapy to structured activities, depending upon my clients' needs. I have worked with articulation, prelinguistic communication development, language development, stuttering, Deafness, cognitive impairments, communication needs of those on the Autistic Spectrum, transgender voice feminiization, voice challenges, and early learning challenges, such as letter-sound correspondence and early reading comprehension. I also enjoy using a multisensory approach, and seeing my clients as whole people, not just voice boxes! At times this approach leads me to include movement, singing, and artwork into sessions!

Lastly, and gratefully, 24 years serving as an SLP have brought me great joy.

Testimonials

“My son and I had the pleasure of working with Vicki F. at Lamm Preschool for 2 years. Peter was a shy 3 year old with a speech delay when he met Vicki. He had a hard time leaving me in the classroom and would often cry. Vicki helped him with this transition and formed a trusting relationship in those beginning days. As a speech therapist she worked on so many different sounds and incorporated play into his sessions. I do not think he realized how much work he actually was doing. Peter also had a stuttering problem and many people had difficulty understanding him. Vicki was very informed and was up to date on the latest treatments for stuttering. After a few short months, he no longer stuttered and became a very confident child. I truly believe Vicki played a major role in the beginnings of Peters academic success. She is an amazing speech therapist who worked with both the child and family. She was able to give us the tools we needed to help Peter and I am forever grateful!”

“While Vicki has extensive education and experience in her field, what impresses me most is her genuine enthusiasm and intuitive sense of relating to children, especially my daughter. Vicki has helped my daughter expand her language and overall social awareness in ways that are inventive, fun, and exciting. Vicki speaks and nurtures the joyful language of children. If you need anything else, just let me know.”

My son Ethan was born at 26 weeks weighing 1 lb he was speech he was speech delayed due to prematurity. He had speech therapy at home with some improvement. When he started Stanley Lamm Preschool in 2014, he was still unable to make many sounds appropriate for his age. Ethan spoke very low, due to not being able to breathe from his belly. Vicki became his speech therapist and saw him twice a week. My son Ethan took an immediate liking to her. She was very kind, patient and gentle with him. She helped nurtured him, helped him make new sounds, round his lips and learn how to do belly breaths. Vicki taught us how we could help him at home as well as in school. We saw growth on a daily basis. With her hard work and dedication, Ethan has caught up to his peers with speech and I very am happy to say, he no longer requires speech therapy. I am very thankful for all Vicki has done for my son. She is an outstanding speech therapist and anyone that has her for therapy is extremely lucky.
