Perhaps your student can\u2019t predict how their actions might affect or makes others feel? If so, that student <a href=\"http:\/\/www.speechbuddy.com\/blog\/speech-disorders\/semantic-pragmatic-language-disorder\/\" target=\"_blank\">might need remediation in Social Thinking.<\/a> Michelle Garcia Winner coined the term more than 15 years ago and developed the related treatment approach for <a href=\"http:\/\/speechtimefun.blogspot.com\/2012\/09\/pragmatic-skills-series-apps-that.html\" target=\"_blank\">improving the social and pragmatic skills<\/a> of individuals with a variety of challenges. The term, according to her website, \u201c\u2026<em>is what we do when we interact with people: we think about them. And how we think about people affects how we behave, which in turn affects how others respond to us, which in turn affects our own emotions.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>http:\/\/youtu.be\/ZI7OSZdKrnE<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Learning the program and listening to Michelle\u2019s experience can be invaluable for improving the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.asha.org\/public\/speech\/development\/pragmatics.htm\">social communication<\/a> and relationships among students in speech therapy and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.socialthinking.com\/Articles?id=39e489d3519d4c2fb4df3ed8e357d75b\" target=\"_blank\">in the classroom.<\/a> This two-day workshop includes:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Day 1: Thinking About You, Thinking About Me Implementing Social Thinking Concepts.
